Product Overview

Light Indicator

• Fast blinking green: Ready for Easy Mode connection
• Slow blinking green: Ready for AP Mode connection
• Red: Switch is ON
• Off: Switch is OFF

On/Off Button — turns the connected load on or off.

Reset Button — long press any button for 5 seconds to reset the device.

Before you install

Install the Gosund Flip V

Step 1: Shut OFF the power at the circuit breaker for the switch you are replacing. You may need to shut OFF more than one circuit breaker/switch to make sure the switch you are working on is powered OFF.

Step 2: Unscrew and disconnect the wires from the old switch using a screwdriver.

Step 3: Install the Gosund Flip V Wi-Fi Smart Switch. Insert each wire into its terminal, then tighten the screw.

Step 4: Mount the device using the provided screws.

Connect with your cellphone

Requirements: a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection at home.

Easy Mode

1. Confirm that the Wi-Fi smart switch is well installed.
2. Open the Gosund App and tap the "+" symbol.
3. Choose "Switch (Wi-Fi)".
4. Make sure the indicator light is flashing fast and confirm it in the App. If you don't see the green light blinking quickly, press any reset button for 5s to reset.
5. Choose your 2.4G Wi-Fi and enter the password, then confirm it in the App.
6. Wait until the configuration succeeds and then tap "Completed".

AP Mode

1. Switch to "AP Mode" if the connection fails in "Easy Mode".
2. Long press any reset button until the indicator light flashes slowly.
3. Go back to the Add Device "+" interface and choose AP Mode in the upper right corner. Choose your 2.4G Wi-Fi and enter the password, then confirm it in the App.
4. Tap "Connect now" and choose the Wi-Fi hotspot named "SmartLife-xxxx", then go back to the Gosund App.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

Create Scenes / Groups

You can create certain scenes and groups in the Gosund App. It allows you to control different smart devices in different rooms at the same time.

Device Sharing

If you want to give others permission to control your smart switch, you can authorize that with the device sharing function. Go to the Gosund App → choose the device you want to share → choose the Edit Button → choose shared devices → Add sharing → enter his/her Gosund account → search and complete.

How to connect with Amazon Alexa

Requirements

1. An Amazon Alexa device and the Alexa App.
2. The smart switch connected with the Gosund App.
3. Your Gosund App user ID and password.

Add Gosund as a "Skill" for Alexa

Open the Alexa app and choose Skills & Games → search for Gosund → ENABLE TO USE → enter the Gosund account → Authorize to use → choose Gosund. The devices you added will then sync to the Alexa App. You can also ask Alexa to discover new devices at this moment.

Things you can do with Alexa

• Voice control the smart switch.
• Remote control the smart switch via the Alexa App.
• Add the smart switch to a certain group in the Alexa App.

Tips for using Alexa voice control

Please make sure the device name you set for the smart switch is unique and recognizable for the Alexa voice assistant. You should make sure all the smart device names in your home are non-repetitive and recognizable for Alexa. The voice assistant system needs the exact command to do the work.

How to ask Alexa to turn on/off the smart switch

First you need to set an exact name for the switch in the Gosund App. If not, Alexa may tell you: "Sorry, I can't find the device." You can say to Alexa, "Alexa, turn on/off bathroom switch." This command will help you to do the work.

How to connect with Google Home

You can do that by linking the Gosund App with the Google Home App. Go to the Google Home App and find "Works with Google" → search Gosund → enter your Gosund account → Authorize to use. The Google Home App will then guide you through the rest.
